We interview videographer, video producer, projection mapper, 360 degree photographer and Catalyst Film Production tutor Daniel Dietz.
Berlin, Friday evening. New to the city, a friend asks, ‘what should I do this weekend?’ Assuming they’re not trying to muscle in on tonight’s Netflix and large pizza for one or – heaven forbid – take up more than a square inch of your sofa legroom, what do you recommend? You could say anything from brunch to Berghain – or both combined. In fact, your responses could be limitless in such a thriving metropolis. But we bet you wouldn’t just say, ‘everything.’
Well, Daniel Dietz did. And the cryptic response speaks volumes about the type of guy our German-American new Film Production tutor is. A videographer, video producer, projection mapper and 360 degree photographer outside of Catalyst, Daniel’s creative mind is forever active and his eyes are always open – well, except for when he’s sleeping (we hope).
As we creep ever closer towards the start of a supercharged new school year, we caught up with Daniel for some super-quick-fire questions. And yes, we are in love with his dog too.
“I hope to be part of a process that enables students to become creative innovators.”
