Stefan Knauthe

Stefan Knauthe is a music producer, composer and synthesist with a lifelong passion for sound and electronic music. Having been based in Berlin since 1988, he has witnessed and contributed to the city’s rise to the capital of electronic music. Over the past decades, Stefan has worked with many leading artists who have emerged from this dynamic and inspired scene.
Becoming an Ableton Certified Trainer in 2012, Stefan joined Catalyst in summer 2013. He now focuses on his career as an education professional and teaches several Electronic Music Production & Performance workshops, including Audio Production, Sound Design, Mixing Practice and many more.
Outside of Catalyst, Stefan also runs regular modular synthesis workshops at events and large conventions such as Superbooth and Loop. Aside from his work in education, Stefan is an active composer and producer of ambient and experimental electronic music, who enjoys nothing more than beaming himself into otherworldly sound spaces.
